Live it!

Antigua Guatemala, a great city to learn Spanish, chill and Travel!

Over 5,000 language students come to Guatemala every year to learn to speak, read, write and LIVE our language. Of this number, 10% chose to study with us and many students return to continue their studies. Click here for more information!

Guatemala is not only one of the most beautiful countries in the world, the town of Antigua Guatemala is one of the world's most beautiful small cities. Although many students choose to live and study in other towns in Guatemala, most students choose Antigua.

The moderate climate and incredible beauty of Antigua and the land that surrounds us - three volcanoes in the near distance that can be climbed - houses, public buildings and churches that date back over 500 years are masterpieces of Spanish Colonial architecture - most important, The PEOPLE OF ANTIGUA are known for their warmth and hospitality.

Another major reason students choose to study in Guatemala is the PRICE. Language study, food and accommodations cost 75% less here than in Mexico and most other Spanish speaking countries - and even those countries with similar economies, don't have ANTIGUA.

IT IS SAFE TO LIVE and STUDY HERE!

We are very thankful that the political conflicts in our recent past are behind us. But, even during those difficult times, the town of Antigua was well-known as a safe and secure place to visit and now, more than ever, everyone feels free to roam around the countryside and take trips on the inexpensive people's buses to remote villages. Although there are areas in Guatemala City that can be unsafe (as in all large cities, travellers must take care), all cities and towns outside of Guatemala City are safe for tourists.
